4 Signs Spirit Is Calling You to Step Up

Is it time for you to take on more—do more, offer more, and expand into a bigger version of yourself?

Sometimes Spirit nudges us before we even know what’s happening. Here are four signs that it might be time for you to step up and take a new path.

It usually starts with restlessness.

You wake up feeling antsy. You tell yourself it’ll pass once you get to work. But afternoon comes and… you’re still antsy. Evening comes and… STILL antsy.

Nothing in particular is wrong. But tiny irritations gnaw at you. You’re dissatisfied without knowing why.

This kind of “non-directed dissatisfaction” is often Spirit’s first call. It’s a signal that change is needed, even if you don’t yet know what kind.

Another sign is that you’re less patient with things that don’t sit well.

Maybe you suddenly get annoyed at office inefficiencies or feel compelled to speak up when something is clearly inappropriate. People might even wonder why you’ve changed.

If this is happening, Spirit may be:

• Urging you to fix what’s wrong, or

• Nudging you to leave situations that aren’t right for you.

Another powerful sign is discovering something new and unexpectedly fun.

Maybe a friend ropes you into a cooking class. You go along reluctantly, then end up having a blast making pasta with strangers. You love it far more than you expected.

If a new activity lights you up—keep going. Spirit often uses joy and humor to guide you into new areas that may later reveal themselves as part of your soul’s path.

Growth doesn’t happen in straight lines.

Sometimes nothing happens for weeks. Then suddenly—breakthrough.

I’ve had students feel stuck through three sessions, then by Session Four, they’ve downloaded a new healing technique, designed a class, and already taught it to others.

In the “secular-muggle” world, the same thing happens. You grind away at a project with no progress, then suddenly the right collaborator appears, or the market shifts, and everything falls into place.

The outcome often arrives suddenly, unexpectedly. But only if you’ve spent enough time in the process.
