Are You Here to Innovate Your Own Work?

This year, much of my time has been spent helping students create their own work—new healing techniques, spiritual classes, books, and more.

It’s been an interesting shift. Just a year ago, most of my work centered on teaching what I had already developed, or what I had learned from others. But increasingly, people are showing up not just to learn existing systems, but to birth something entirely their own.

These are the innovators—the ones who bring in fresh ways of working, teaching, and creating. They’re not here to simply replicate or guard tradition. They’re here to shape something new.

How do you know if you’re one of these innovators—someone here to create a unique, only-you signature offering for the world?

Here are some clues:

• Existing things don’t quite fit you. They might be beautiful, but like clothes that don’t suit your shape, they feel off.
  
  

• You love the work you’ve learned from others, but … (fill in the blank). Something about it needs to shift before it feels true for you.
  
  

• Communities or lineages you’ve joined feel restrictive. You respect them, but you’re not in full alignment.
  
  

• Creativity flows naturally. Artwork, music, or new methods emerge almost effortlessly.
  
  

• You instinctively express “standard things” in fresh ways. For example, you may learn Reiki but end up activating people through painting or song.
  
  

• You aren’t motivated to simply cut-and-paste other people’s work, no matter how good it is.
